Summary:
This position contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by providing maintenance supervision in a manufacturing plant.
Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Provides leadership, supervision (including teamwork and self-directed workforce, two-way communication, training and development, recognition, safety, and discipline) and technical direction, to develop and maintain a highly competent, flexible and motivated workforce.
Provides safe, reliable, timely, and competitive maintenance services to meet or exceed operational expectations through effective job planning, coordination, scheduling, monitoring and controlling. May conduct on-site maintenance inspections.
Ensures all plant maintenance practices are in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and codes, and Company policies.
Plans, estimates and determines work, manpower requirements, equipment and materials for overhauls, projects, daily and other maintenance activities. Documents comprehensible written communication in Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Creates schedule to coordinate all maintenance crafts, operations and contractors that maximizes resource allocation. Coordinates work between Operations and Maintenance. Adjusts daily progress and updates computerized schedule and resources/materials allocation based on daily field inspections to ensure planned work is completed on schedule.
Promotes teamwork and self-directed workforce in support of quality initiatives and Company values. Supports two-way communications to ensure a focused and well-informed workforce. Interacts with all employees and other internal and external suppliers and customers in a positive, supportive and collaborative manner, to ensure the fulfillment of Company objectives. May be required to supervise a single and/or multi-craft workforce to support Company values.
Assures equipment reliabilty to maximize production line productivity.
Implements process enhancements to improve process enhancements to improve package and flavor changeover efficiency.
Utilizes visual factory concepts to maximize asset utilization and plant performance.
Builds the capability of maintenance technicians.
Tracks standard manufacturing and warehouse measures and prioritizes plant maintenance opportunities.
A minimum of 5 years of operations maintenance experience and/or a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Operations Management.
Mechanical experience maintaining equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.
A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
